2階の大正ロマンのムード漂うお部屋で椅子に座って行う立礼式です。( 立、礼、と書いてりゅうれいと読みます。 明治時代に当時の裏千家のお家元が京都万博の為に考えられたお点前です。)
正座が苦手な方でも大丈夫 ! 椅子に座り、リラックスしてご参加いただけます。 初心者の方もたくさんご参加いただいております。ジーンズでも、おきものでも、お好きな服装でお越し下さいませ。 ご用意頂くものはございません。
お客様のご希望の日程で随時開催。 お茶の歴史、茶事・茶会の説明、ランディー先生のお点前披露、そして、ご参加いただいたお客様にもお茶を点てていただきます。 海外からのお客様も多く、英語・日本語どちらでも承ります。
企業研修や夏休みの思い出として親子で参加される方、留学を控えた学生さんが自国の文化を説明する為にと参加される理由も様々です。
また、ご参加いただきましたお客様限定で、京都産茶葉100%のらん布袋謹製のお抹茶を特別価格にてご案内させていただきます。

Experience the “Way of Tea” at ran Hotei
Share a bowl of tea with Randy Channell Soei, a Canadian Tea Master as he takes you through a brief introduction to Chanoyu at his old style Kyoto house that has been exquisitely renovated into a Japanese teahouse and gallery.
Hands on experience…
Learn the proper etiquette involved in taking sweets and drinking tea in the Urasenke tradition. Then have a go at making a bowl yourself!
The experience is about an hour long and the price is ¥5,000 per person. If you would like to ensure a private experience there is an added ¥10,000 premium.
Randy Sensei also offers an online tea experience for those unable to make it to his shop.
